Darryl Ebanks, RAW

Darryl Ebanks is a New York City–based artist and educator. His work centers primarily on visual storytelling through photography, filmmaking, and writing. With a style rooted in authenticity and rawness, he captures the subtle narratives found in everyday life and urban environments. His debut book, "what eye see, what i am," blends imagery and poetry, offering viewers a window into his evolving artistic voice. Currently developing his second book, he continues to expand his creative practice while cementing his place as a multifaceted artist dedicated to exploring the depth and nuance of human experience.

Darryl’s influences derive from conversations with the people in his life, paintings from the likes of Edward Hopper and Basquiat, the Japanese worldview of “Wabi-Sabi,” and the endless films he watches that you can see on his Letterbox’d account. He is an avid Knicks fan and usually hates talking about himself in third person.
